No rain, Just a Very nice Day

Well it didn't rain today. The skies were partly cloudy with those big fluffy clouds, white and grey. The wind didn't pick up like yesterday, there's been a light breeze today, its very comfortable today actually. The clouds are going away, I was hoping it would be a colorful sunset but its more silvery, which is pretty, I just like the dramatic sunsets and we get some beautiful ones here when its cloudy.
So here's a look at our evening skies. Taken about 7ish.

Who Knows, we may get rain today

Missed the sunrise this morning, it was partially cloudy so I imagine it was a beautiful one. Now it has gotten cloudy and the little rain cloud isn't showing on the thermometer but on AOL my desktop shows rain, its suppose to change according to our weather. The problem with predicting weather here is, that by time we get the clouds they are usually empty of moisture. So we get what looks like rain clouds but nothing happens.
This is what things are looking like at 9:30am

Its a beautiful morning ... Welcome September

I know the saying is March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. I don't recall hearing a saying for September, but for us here in Eastern Washington, September made a beautiful first appearance this morning.
The conditions at about 8:05 this morning were:
These sunrise pictures were taken about 6:15 this morning.

August, here today, gone ...

And w o o s h like one of our wind storms, summers over. August ending somehow seems different then most months to me. It's the end of summer, for some the beginning of a whole new world, school. Then there is the approaching of the holidays, those months always pass by in a blur. The sunlight seems different and the feel of the air.
So now for the evenings update:

And a look at the evening skies:

Back to Weather Tracking

Got back Saturday from my 2 week visit with Karen and family in Alaska to celebrate
Hailey's First Birthday on August 21, 2004.

Should have kept track of the weather of there, but didn't. They broke a record for the most days in August without rain and temperatures above 75. There are several large fires up there and there were some very smoky days. It did Rain on Thursday, August 26, 2004 and the temperature was high 60s to low 70s, which I found to be very comfortable, even the warmer days there where comfortable to me.

So now back to my weather. It has cooled down a bit here, 80s and 90s, which is better then over 100 like it was when I left, shows a change in seasons is on its way.

Temperature reading at around 8:30am
